Beaches on Cape Ann

Beach on Cape Ann Cape Ann has a variety of sandy beaches dotted along the rocky shoreline. The main beaches with suitable parking available are Good Harbor Beach and Wingaersheek Beach, both in Gloucester. Parking for the remaining smaller beaches is rather tight. Public beaches in each Cape Ann town are as follows:


Gloucester

  • Good Harbor Beach (Rt 127A)
  • Half Moon Beach/Cressy's Beach (Western Ave., Stage Fort Park)
  • Wingaersheek Beach (off Concord Street)
  • Niles Beach (Eastern Point)


Rockport

  • Front Beach/Back Beach (accessible from downtown Rockport)
  • Old Garden Beach (off Old Garden Road)
  • Long Beach (Thatcher Road)
  • Cape Hedge Beach (South Street)
  • Pebble Beach (Penzance Road)


Manchester-by-the-Sea

  • Singing Beach (End of Masconomo Street)
  • White Beach (Ocean Street)


Essex

  • Crane Beach (accessible from Essex by boat, or by car through nearby Ipswich)
  • Chebacco Lake (off Western Avenue, Rt. 22)
